...and I make myself forget what I believe the Republican Party stands for when I think of them (the ones I like, anyway). I just figure there's something that makes them align themselves with Republicans, like my parents, who in the larger sense used to side with Republicans because they were small business people and were concerned with taxes. Look where that eventually got us. As far as I know, my parents are now Independents, thanks to George Bush, who thankfully only has 100 days left in office. Ugh. A lot of bad stuff can go down in 100 days. Anyway, aside from the small group of people I know and care about who STILL consider themselves Republican, I lump the rest together with this man, because to me, he symbolizes what being a McCain/Palin supporter really means, and what being a Republican in 2008 stands for.
